qGalleryversion 0.8.9 beta

What is qGallery?

qGallery is a simple to use prototype based gallery script.

All image processing is done by the script so you don't have to worry about the images you upload on the server. All images for the skimmer graphics and the fullsize view will be created on the fly and stored in a cache directory on the server to save processing power on the server.

The script is fully customizable. You can change the size of the gallery, the interface graphics, the colors and some of the features. It's possible to switch the skimmer overlay bar off, change or turn off the reflections, make the skimmer graphics smaller, decide what style you want for the scrollbar (windows or mac style) and a lot of other settings…

How to use it?

It is really simple to use. You just have to upload your images in full resolution together with a simple xml file and include the script and a simple div into the webpage. Everything else is done automatically. The gallery is creating every used image on the fly with the help of some php scripts in the background. These newly generated images are stored into a cache directory to save server time.

How much does it cost?

qGallery will be free for personal use. But I will be really happy about every donation I get. It really helps me to pay my bills and to spent more time on the scripts.

I'm not sure yet about commercial use. I will decide this when the gallery is ready. Maybe there will be a little fee…

Do you have plans for a version 2.0?

Yes, there is a lot of stuff I've scheduled for the next version of the gallery ;)

I need someone to work on my website.
Can you do it?

Yes, I work as a freelancer.

Please contact me and I will see what I can do for you.

Can I use the photographs from this gallery?

No, the photographs are copyright protected. You can't use them for your own projects. If you really need to use one of the photographs please contact me.

Who are you?

I'm a student at art school in Bremen, Germany.

In my spare time I'm working as a freelancer for web- and print-design to earn some money for living. And sometimes I go on really low budget trips as a backpacker, that's where the photographs come from.

Yes, the guy in Malta is me ;)
